In 2016–2017, Tomtebo strand’s partners have jointly developed a Sustainability Program for Tomtebo strand. This was done according to a methodology and with a scheme called Citylab – A guide for sustainable construction. Citylab is a forum for sustainable urban construction, run by the Sweden Green Building Council.
Citylab has formulated 17 goals for sustainable urban development that span economic, ecological and social aspects. And those goals are in turn formulated with regards to the UN’s 17 global sustainability goals – the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
In the Sustainability Program for Tomtebo strand, the 17 Global Sustainability Goals and Citylab’s 17 Sustainable Urban Development Goals and its desired effects have been grouped into four focus areas to make it more manageable.
Each focus area has clear goals that show how each focus area contributes to the Tomtebo strand vision. The goals have then been specified into a number of strategies. The strategies include a description of who is responsible for it and how it should be followed up and measured. For each strategy there are examples of measures that could help to achieve the strategy and also the goals and vision for Tomtebo strand.
