Vinterfun at Tomtebo strand
On Saturday, March 2nd, from 11 am to 2 pm, we invite you to a winter day at Tomtebo strand. The event will be held in the new Lake Park, which is an upcoming district park at Tomtebo strand. The day will feature activities such as a toboggan slope, ski tracks, fires, a quiz walk, and a café hangout. The Leisure Bank will lend out sleds, bobsleds, and toboggans.
Full Program:
- Toboggan Slope – The slope is suitable for children up to about 10 years old. The very youngest may need a parent to accompany them. During the event, we have about 20 sleds and bobsleds, as well as 20 toboggans available for loan. You are also very welcome to bring your own.
- Ski Tracks – In the forest from Dialog Place to Lake Park, there is a shorter ski track for the smaller children to enjoy. The loop is about 600 meters long, with the option to take shorter routes as well.
- Fires – On-site, we have two large grill rings with benches and 2 picnic tables. Feel free to bring your own sausages or picnic and something to sit on.
- Quiz Walk – At the start of Olle Fiskare's road from Tomtebo, we have a quiz walk that leads into the Winter Fun. There are a total of 10 questions, and we will award 1–3 prizes in the form of cinema tickets. Take the chance to win cinema tickets for the family during the school holiday.
- Café (first come, first served) - The first 200 arrivals will be treated to a café. Stora Coop Tomtebo will provide blueberry soup, fruit, and candy. And Umeå Municipality will provide cinnamon buns.
- Ice and Snow Play – Umecom, Umeå Municipality's citizen workshop, invites children to play with ice and snow using food coloring and soap bubbles. At the same time, children will have the opportunity to share what they would like to be able to do in the winter at Lake Park.
- Information about Tomtebo strand – Are you curious about Umeå's new district with a focus on sustainability that is emerging? Take the chance to talk to us. On-site, we have staff from Umeå Municipality, Skanska, HSB, and Umeå Energi.
