How We Process Your Personal Data

The Municipality Board of Umeå Municipality is responsible for the processing of personal data. The purpose of the processing is to be able to provide you with the newsletter that you have chosen to subscribe to. The legal basis for the processing is that it is carried out to fulfill a necessary public interest.

Your data will be stored for as long as they are needed for the purpose of the processing and will then be disposed of in accordance with the current document management plan.

We may also share your personal data with third parties, provided that we are obligated by law, such as under the principle of public access to official records.

If you have any questions about the processing of personal data or wish to contact us for any other reason, the easiest way is to contact us via ksdiarium@umea.se.

You have the right to receive information about the data we have about you, request correction, and request that the processing be restricted. Depending on the legal basis for the processing, you may also have the right to request data portability, object to the processing, or request erasure.

Complaints about our processing of your personal data should be submitted to the Swedish Data Protection Authority, which is the supervisory authority.
